Egyptian Cuisines

Egyptian Cuisine

There is a lot to Egyptian cuisines than many people think when it comes to the restaurants in Egypt.  In fact, the Egyptian cuisines encompass the local culinary tradition of Egypt. The dishes in Egypt are based on legumes and vegetables which is as a result of Egypt being situated at the River Nile and the Delta that leads to the production of crops that are of high quality.

History and characteristics of Egyptian Cuisines
One of the Egyptian national dishes is Ful Medames which is served with eggs and vegetables. These cuisines in Egypt date back to the ancient Egypt where a lot of archaeological excavations were obtained indicating that the workers of the Pyramids of Egypt were hired to generate bread, beer and onions.

This indicates that this was their diet as poor workers. Apart from the bread that was prepared from wheat, there were also beans that served primarily as their food that presented to them with proteins. Nevertheless Egyptian Cuisines is encompassed with vegetables which depend largely on vegetable dishes.

Apart from this, available food in Alexandria that is located in the coast is a wide range of seas food which includes fish. This is despite the fact that most of the Egyptian food is generated from the ground. Funny enough, meat for the Egyptians has been an expensive affair therefore leading to a whole deal of vegetables.
